Steam Locomotive images from the 1930's through the late 50's, with 1st generation Diesel's and streamliners as well. Tacoma, Washington is the center
of the collection, with images from Western Washington, Portland Oregon, and a few from Idaho and Montana. Most are from the original negatives
and transparencies. B&W images are mostly from 4"x5" and other large formats down to 2 /14" square. The color shots are largely from 35mm slides.

Here I am, back in 1953, with NP 684 at Kanaskat
Washington.. I got an early start loving trains, with my
Dad being an NP Brakeman back then.

Tom (TC) Miller at the throttle of L-9 Switcher about
1941. I suspect he was the fireman, and clowning
around for the photo, as he was a new hire!
Jack Anderson, ex Steam Locomotive Mechanic and
another serious photographer. Jack and I traveled
together throughout the Pacific Northwest
photographing railroad subjects in the late 1960's and
70's.
Several other railroaders left dad and I assorted images, knowing we would
appreciate and care for them. Photos circa 1900-1970
Original scans have been carefully restored in Photoshop. Dust, scratches
and and mars have been removed with care to insure details have not been
changed or obscured, resulting in clean, high quality prints.
Poor quality copy negatives have been made from some of Dad's
earlier darkroom prints. These have recently shown up on Ebay.
