The Northern Pacific, double track mainline between Seattle, Washington and Portland Oregon, is shared with the Union Pacific and the
Great Northern. It has been a very busy chunk of railroad for over a hundred years, with several passenger trains, scheduled freights,
extras, and the many local jobs, switching industry and handling forest products. Tom (TC) Miller, was an engineer on the NP, and took
quite a few photos while working these jobs in the early 1960's. A few are a bit blurry, but still worth seeing for the scenes and character
of the era. These are organized left to right, top to bottom, from Seattle to Portland.
